ARTIST STATEMENT

I've spent the past forty-five years immersed in painting the stunning landscapes of the southwest, particularly in my beloved New Mexico. My work is primarily focused on capturing the grace of nature, with its soft curves and strong geometries. I am constantly drawn to the deeply saturated colors of this region, and I strive to convey the sense of awe and wonder that I experience in its presence. Through my paintings, I aim to explore the contrast between light and shadow, capturing the ever-moving clouds, the dynamic strength of the mountains, and creating a sense of energy within each piece. Thank you for taking the time to appreciate my work.
