Terry Scopes is an abstract expressionist artist who works in acrylic and mixed media. Her use of vibrant colors and bold layered marks are a unique pairing of realism and fantasy. They reflect a deep love of paint and its serendipitous property of flow.

Terry Scopes responds intuitively and spontaneously to nature; painting the rich hues, organic shapes, and time worn patinas that surround her. Scopes paints how what she sees makes her feel.

Scopes works out of her home studio on a high desert plain in Utah, embraced by the Wasatch Mountains. Her work has been exhibited throughout the West and can be found in private collections in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
